Still in School?
Facing an unplanned pregnancy while still in school can feel impossible. One day, you’re focused on homework, hanging out with friends, and graduation; the next day, you have pregnancy symptoms and need to make a life-altering decision.
You’re likely feeling anxious, confused, and maybe a little lost. You’re not alone. The team at Hope’s Choice is here to help you navigate this new situation.
Support for Pregnant Students
We provide free and confidential services for students facing an unplanned pregnancy or thinking they may be pregnant. Come for a free and confidential pregnancy test to begin confirmation of your pregnancy.
If your pregnancy test is positive, we can offer an ultrasound referral. You’ll want an ultrasound to determine how far along you are in your pregnancy, if the pregnancy is growing, and its location.
Once you’ve confirmed your pregnancy, we can provide a free and confidential consultation on options. You have three choices: abortion, making an adoption plan, and parenting. Get as much information as possible on every option so you can make an informed and confident decision.
We don’t financially benefit from any choice you make. In addition, we do not perform or refer for abortion and cannot place your child for adoption.
Know Your Rights
As a pregnant student, you have certain rights that are protected by the federal government. The U.S. Department of Education prohibits discrimination, including discrimination due to pregnancy and parental status.
You can’t be kept from classes, student activities, or extra-curricular activities. Your school must excuse absences due to your pregnancy or childbirth.
